Help

Common Questions Answered

Support
Q1 How is L/100km mathematically calculated?
Liters per 100 Kilometers is computed as: (Liters used / (Kilometers traveled / 100)). It represents the fuel required to drive 100 kilometers.
Q2 Why does my calculated MPG differ from my car dashboard display?
Car computer readouts estimate values based on direct injection pulses, whereas manual fill math represents exact fuel consumed.
Q3 How can I calculate fuel economy accurately?
Fill your tank completely, reset the trip odometer, drive until you need fuel, fill the tank completely again, and note the gallons added and miles driven.
Q4 Does fuel grade (Premium vs. Regular) affect mileage?
Unless your engine is designed for high octane, using premium fuel does not improve fuel mileage.
Q5 Will this calculator work for hybrid vehicles?
Yes. It calculates total distance per unit of fuel consumed regardless of vehicle hybrid batteries.
